About Rainier
Founded in 2000, Rainier Asphalt & Concrete is a leading pavement contractor in the Puget Sound region. We provide various services, including: hot mix asphalt patching and paving, asphalt seal coating, striping, curbing, concrete flat work, crack filling, drainage and traffic control. We employ approximately 75 people and have offices in North Bend and Tacoma. The company is operational and busy year-round, and is much less seasonal than many competitors in this industry.

Summary of Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced equipment operator for our asphalt and concrete crews. The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
Operating mini excavator and skid steer, including attachments (clam bucket, sweeper, grinder, auger, forklift, etc.)
Experience removing asphalt, and concrete and grading of sub-base material
Safe and efficient loading and unloading of equipment on tiltbed and other style trailers
Skilled maneuvering in tight spaces (City of Seattle and other urban areas)

General Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Cell phone
  • Self motivated and punctual
  • 5 years experience in the concrete sector of the construction industry (we also have entry-level positions available. Click HERE.)
  • A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is not required, but is a definite plus

This position has a wage range of $17-$30/hour depending on experience.
